Who we are

Build A Better Shop is a program of Miles Auto Service, 1007 Tuckahoe Rd, Sewell, NJ 08080. It is run by Fred White.

What we collect

Only what you type in, plus the ordinary technical information any website receives.

• When you join or book: your name, email address and phone number.
• When you book a setup visit: the date and time you choose, and your time zone.
• Automatically: your IP address, browser and the pages you open, through our host and our security provider.

We never see your card number. Card details go straight from your browser to our payment processor in a separate secure frame, and are never stored on our side.

What we use it for

• Taking payment and running your membership.
• Telling you when the monthly meetup is, and sending what we covered.
• Arranging and confirming a setup visit.
• Answering you when you get in touch.

We do not sell your information, rent it, or trade it. We do not send it to advertisers.

Who else handles it

Running the site means a handful of companies touch your data on our behalf. This is the actual list:

• HighLevel — hosts these pages and holds our customer records, email and text messaging.
• SafeWebServices — processes card payments. They receive your card details; we do not.
• Cloudflare — delivers and protects the site, runs the "are you human" check on our order forms, and gives us basic page-view counts.
• Google Fonts — serves the typefaces these pages use, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

Email and texts

If you join, we will email you about the meetup. If you give us your phone number, we may text you about a booking or a session.

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom and it works. Reply STOP to any text and the texts end. Neither one cancels your membership — see the Terms for that.

How long we keep it

While you are a member, and for as long afterwards as we need it for our records and tax obligations.

Ask us to delete what we hold and we will, apart from anything we are legally required to keep, such as records of payments you made.

What you can ask for

Email us and you can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. No special form, no fee. We will do it within thirty days.

Children

This is a service for people running businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it and members are emailed. Quiet edits to a legal page are a bad habit.
